Farm to Cafeteria Conference

Interested in getting local food into BC schools, hospitals and universities? Well, you should attend The Public Health Association of British Columbia’s Farm to Cafeteria Conference!

The Conference starts off on Friday, March 9th at Terra Nova Farm with Young Chefs Sizzle, tours and an evening keynote: From Pharm to Farm: What if everyone were to believe food is medicine?

Sessions at the conference the next day will focus on a variety of themes aimed at all members of the food system. The themes are:

  • F2C In Rural Remote and Aboriginal Communities
  • Keeping the Farm in Farm to Cafeteria
  • Occupy Cafeterias
  • Local Foods in Institutions: Debunking Myths
  • Eyes in the Books, Hands on the Hoe and Kale on The Plate
  • Food Distribution Models That Work
