Calling all students passionate about making food system change on campus!

by Jessica Thornton

Two weeks ago we mentioned Meal Exchange & Sierra Youth Coalition‘s exciting new project striving to get good food on campuses across the country. If you haven’t already signed up to participate, act fast!

Here’s the project’s latest update:

22 campuses and counting have signed up to host consultation sessions for the  National Student Food Charter! Link your campus to the Canadian student food movement.

This isn’t your average talk - the National Student Food Charter is setting a foundation for the future of the food on campus by gathering student voices, connecting ideas to action, and unifying the Canadian student food movement. Get your student body thinking and talking about food reform on campus through student-led consultation sessions – check out studentfood.ca for info on how to get involved, access supporting materials, facilitate a session, and more!

This Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – from 4-5pm EST, students can join strategy and orientation calls (register by clicking the link), and connect to students across Canada to collaborate on how Charter consultations – big or small – can work most effectively on their campuses!

Multiple facilitators per campus are encouraged to help spread the word, tap into different networks, and engage as many students as possible!
