Here’s How You Can Make the Most of Your Certification

Now that you’re certified, the next step is telling the world! Here are some helpful suggestions on ways you can make the most of your certification.

Add our logo to your website

We recommend adding the logo to the front page of your site and either linking the logo to our site and/or to a page about what the certification means to help those who haven’t come across the logo before to fully understand what the certification means.

Put the logo on your products packaging

If you are packaging your products, then be sure to put the logo right on your product. The more central the logo, the more it will be noticed! If you sell at farmers markets or at your farm stand, we can also provide you with stickers to help advertise your certification.

Talk about the certification

When you’re marketing your product to distributors, retailers, restaurants or customers, don’t forget to mention the certification. ‘Local’ and ‘sustainable’ are the top two trends for restaurants right now – take advantage!

If you run a CSA program and use a newsletter to communicate with your customers – write an article about the certification.

Stay connected with LFP

We are constantly working with new restaurants, retailers and institutions and they are pledging to source from our farmers – that’s you! We often blog, tweet, facebook about these new partnerships and then add them to our Find Food page on the website. Take the initiative and contact partners to present yourself and your fare to help them meet their pledge.

This certification program is the ONLY one in the country and therefore you are the only farmers to have this advantage. Market yourself as third-party inspected and Certified Local Sustainable.
